Boating Day on Ebenezer Creek

Our second day of vacation we decided to take a break from exploring Savannah (post here) and take my dad’s boat out on the Ebenezer Creek, which is a short drive from Savannah. When my dad was telling me about the creek he described it as “something out of a movie” and it didn’t disappoint. The creek was coffee colored water that wound through thousands of Cypress trees. We spent the day exploring the creek and attempting to fish (fail!). The little one was so excited to be on a boat (his first time) and his face lit up when we let him “drive” the boat. He is such a typical boy…..loves anything with a motor.  It was a beautiful and relaxing day.

Enjoy your vacation Carly!! I always wanted to have a boat. I love anything with a motor too 😉 Looks like you’re having a great time. I bet fishing is much more difficult then it looks. I hope you guys have better luck next time.
Yes our chinchilla was the coolest pet. We had him for 18,5 years and I miss him a lot. Still makes me cry whenever I think of him. Wish you a happy Friday!!

That looks so relaxing. Where did you get the life vest he is wearing? And are they expensive? They do outgrow these things so fast!

My Dad bought it at WalMart. I don’t think it was very expensive. For the pool we love the Puddle Jumper life jackets that have floaties on the arms and around the waist. They are sold at target

Adorable! Love your simple boating outfit, always the right colors! You son is so cute with that fish-bait in his hands reading to catch a big one! What a lovely family! You do look effortlessly chic here as always!
