A few days into the middle of our Alaska trip we drove from Anchorage to Homer. It’s a beautiful, scenic drive with mountain, glacier and ocean views. Unfortunately, the day of our drive it rained for the first 3 hours of the 4 hour trek. Just as the rain started slowing down we came across this gorgeous rest stop a few miles outside of Homer. It had breath taking mountain views and beautiful planters maintained by the Homer botanical society. We got out to stretch our legs, take the in the sights, and let the little one run off some energy.
For a comfy travel look, I wore this this vest layered over a shirt dress and long sleeve tee. This vest was on constant repeat throughout the trip and is the perfect fall piece for an outdoorsy look. Layered with a classic hat, scarf and rain boots it’s an easy outfit to adjust for unpredictable Alaska or fall climates.
