Quick Tip for Getting Your Kids to Eat More Vegetables

While we were in Alaska (see the trip here), all of the restaurants we went to had 3 course kids meals, even the casual restaurants (the adult meals were not 3 courses). Each meal was started with a simple vegetable appetizer for the little one and to our surprise he would happily eat every bite of the vegetable appetizer. He has always been willing to eat vegetables without complaints at home, but generally only eats a few bites of them and eats all of the carbs and meat on his plate. Meal after meal of watching him eat an entire bowl of vegetables inspired me to start serving vegetables as appetizers every night. This has led to the entire family eating way more vegetables and our meal times feeling a bit more leisurely since it’s broken in to courses.

For casual days at home I love comfy over-sized tops and this one is perfect.  It doesn’t wrinkle, the feminine print is so pretty, and it’s on sale for $28!  It pairs easily with these cut out booties for warm days and when it gets cold can easily be layered under a trench coat when it gets colder.

Speaking of trench coats, check out this round up of 5 trench coats for every price point.

I so hope you get to go to Alaska! It was definitely not my choice (it was my hubbys) but it was such an amazing trip that in the end I loved it.
Peas are my little ones favorite!

Carly I seriously need all the advice I can get on the veggie thing! Beau is in the picky phase and hardly eats anything let alone veggies. So wonderful your little cutie loves them! Oh and I’m loving your booties!

That’s a hard phase. We went through it too. I ended up following the advice in parenting with love and logic and we got through it in a few days. Hope you are having a great week!
