Every closet needs a little white dress and this one is a good one! The lace, handkerchief hemline, and scooped neckline come together to create a pretty silhouette. It’s definitely the perfect feminine dress to build a summer outfit around for a baby shower or date night.
I’ve been experimenting with my hair a lot lately to try and advance my skills beyond braids. I came up with this hairstyle a few nights ago when I was playing with my hair, while the little one took a bath. It’s such a pretty, feminine hairstyle that is super easy to do. I’ll make a tutorial on it soon. In the meantime you can see some other tutorials here.
Last Friday the hubby and I went on a triple date night with some of his friends from work that are about to get married. I love hanging out with the little one, but it’s also great to have a few hours toddler free. As a mom of a rowdy three year old boy, wearing white is a little terrifying. Of course, I seized the opportunity of an adults only night to wear my new little white dress. (See another white date night outfit here). We ate bar food, had a few drinks, and listened to our friends talk about their wedding planning. It was fun to reminisce over our wedding planning seven years ago and talk about our newlywed years. It seems like that was so long ago!. I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad sign, but I’m going to assume it’s a good one.
Native American turquoise jewelry and pops of teal are two of my favorite ways to subtly incorporate southwestern style into my outfits. While I wouldn’t say I identify well with the laid back Santa Fe style, these little additions are the perfect nod to my geographic ties without over-shadowing my own personal style.
