I’m slowly adding prints to my closet as I continue my wardrobe makeover. Usually my outfits are comprised of solids, like this outfit, but I’ve got to say that prints are an easy way to make an outfit look way more interesting. I’ve had this peplum top from Express for several years and always pull it out from the back of the closet this time of year. There’s nothing quite like a floral print sleeveless shirt to put me in the summer mood.
I’m doing a dressing for your body type series in the “Outfit Diaries” group on Facebook. Supposively, peplum shirts are very flattering for rectangular shaped bodies like mine. I always like how tiny they make my waist look, but it takes me forever to find peplum tops that are the right length.
I’m working on perfecting this half up bouffant. It definitely needs to be bigger, but I hate to tease my hair since it’s so damaging. I may have to give the sock bouffant a try. Any tips on how to make it look better?
I wore this outfit for a casual day with the little one running errands and visiting with friends with blush flats for the majority of the day. Then I slipped on heels for dinner when the hubby got home. Skinny jeans look so chic with classic heels like these, but I just can’t bring myself to wear heels when I’m on mom duty. At least my hubby appreciates the effort. He always says “I look fancy” when I wear heels and then he proceeds to make fun of me “clip clopping” around the house. Heels and wood floors are not the best combination!
