We had such a good Memorial Day weekend! One of my best friends from high school came to visit with her family and we had the best time. We took the kids to the zoo, roasted s’mores, got pizza at one of my favorite local restaurants, visited a winery, and played non-stop with our kids. It was so special to see our children playing together and our husbands hanging out. I kept having flash backs to times when we were in high school giggling about high school and couldn’t help but reflect on how amazing it is that we are still in touch and now we are sitting together giggling at how silly our kids are. Sappy, I know, but it is so special to have a life long friend.
Unfortunately I had to work on Memorial Day, so I decided to wear my red , white , and blue outfit on Sunday instead. I just got this top from Shein and am obsessed with it. The stripes, ruffled sleeves and bow come together to create the perfect feminine top for summer.
I’ve been trying to come up with a way to do a faux crown braid that even beginner braiders can do and I’ve finally found a way that I like. I’ll be doing a tutorial for this hairstyle soon, so stay tuned. In the meantime you can see some of my other hair tutorials here.
I just figured out how to do this braided crown hairstyle easily (although the end is supposed to be tucked a bit better than I did here). I will make tutorial for this braid soon.
Did I mention how much I love this top! It looks great with the sleeves pulled over the shoulders too for a more conservative look and will look great with shorts too. Oh, and it’s only eighteen dollars! You can get it here.
