Swimsuit: Kewl Shop (c/o) // Top: Gap // Skirt: old // Hat: Sun & Shine // Sandals: Forever 21
This time of year I am dying to get in the pool and splash around with the little one. To say we love to swim is an understatement.. Last summer we were literally at the pool 3 days a week for the entire season. It’s our favorite warm weather past time, which works out well since we live in the desert and it’s usually eighty plus degrees from April to September. When we headed to Santa Fe last weekend I assumed we would spend at least half a day playing in the pool, but sadly the resort doesn’t open the pool until May, so we dipped in the hot tub instead.
You guys know I love the Kewl Shop’s bandage dresses, so I was excited to give their bandage swimwear line a try. I choose this traditional purple swimsuit, that pairs effortlessly with everything including a chambray top or peasant skirt. It would also look great with a sheer white or black cover-up for the warmer months. The bandage fabric reflects the sun perfectly and gives a glowing effect, which makes it a gorgeous tanning suit compared to the traditional swimwear fabrics. The Kewl Shop has several dramatic swimsuits in the line and also a few beautiful traditional bikinis, which are perfect for lounging by the pool.
Tip: size down when you buy a bandage dress, but order your true size for a bandage swimsuit as the fabric loosens when it’s wet and works much better as a tanning suit
